3rd & LONG

Back in 2020, a fella named Dwight Freeney, a Hall of Fame, retired NFL player, was scheming up something special, capisce? He wanted to brand his Madden tournament, makin’ it the biggest online bash of its kind, aimed right at those young gamers, ages 18 to 24. The prize? A custom pair of Air Jordan 1s, with a little icon stitched on, just for the swagger. Besides the competition, he brought in other retired NFL players, making it quite the gathering. There were enough incentives to pull in the crowd, and the whole thing was set to be a big hit in the gaming world.

So, let me tell ya, this crew came to us, lookin’ for a whole branding package. They needed everything from those slick tournament logos to the shoe icon, social media posts, and even some fancy packaging for the box. We teamed up with a project management crew over in California, and for weeks, we were chattin’ and meetin’, cookin’ up a full branding package that would make anyone proud. What you see here? It’s the whole design process, startin’ from a little idea and risin’ to those final products. And, ya know, the whole thing had to get the thumbs up from the big shots—EA Sports, Dwight Freeney, and even Michael Jordan himself had to give it the seal of approval. It was a real pleasure workin’ on this one!

The heart of this whole design operation was all about crafting an icon that captured the raw ferocity and relentless spirit of Dwight’s game, like a lion on the prowl, you know? Once we nailed that, the rest of the design package just fell into place, like pasta in a perfect sauce. This icon wasn’t just eye candy; it laid down the law for all the social media artwork, giving it that extra punch. It became the key player in drawing in all those video game aficionados to join the tournament, like moths to a flame, and believe me, we’re making them an offer they can’t refuse!
